I decided to do this Drawing Challenge - because it was calling me to do so. I have long since stopped drawing from life. I just don't do it anymore because it bores me ... but I decided to take this drawing challenge and mainly it is because Steemit pushes me past my boundaries.
I usually listen to podcasts while I make art these days. Today I was listening to Mark Passio interviewing Jordan Maxwell on Podcast #153 while I was drawing this Rose.
Initial Rose SquigglÂe is the video of the first part of the step by step drawing of this rose.
First Details of "Flower" is the video of the 2nd part of the step by step process in which look into the squiggle and try to find the drawing.
Final Details of "Flower" is the video of the 3rd part where I saw some people and put in some of the details in pencil, of the flower but also a scene I saw in there...
The Challenge calls for "step-by-step" photos of the drawing. I can't do that because it would be too interuptive to my process if I had to stop to take pictures of that part of the process, which is so intuitive and skilled that if I slowed down to take pics it would be not work... so I used the Time-Lapse video on my phone to make the videos.
they want my name on each photo I think... so I am adding that which is my logo
As you will see from watching the videos, I just thought, I am doing a flower, probably a rose, and so I drew my squiggle, then when I looked into it I saw people, so I put in some details of them in pencil, and now this first drawing is them in purple colored pencil.
They appear to be 2 people holding hands, "in love", with an angel holding the woman and offering to guard the man...it kind of looks like Jesus to me.
I drew the leaves in with dark green
I put the details in and decided to make it an Angel, not Jesus.
This is to show the technique of light to dark shading I do with the colored pencils...this is the part I enjoy the most of the whole drawing - to zone out and color dark to light or light to dark...
I put in the details on part of the scene in dark purple, thinking that somehow I will get back to petals at some point of the rose and so I should just lay in the dark details of the drawing...as I do this I notice this hand around the male...and I think it could be the woman's hand, although her arms are awfully long, or it could be the Angel's hand but it seems like it would be an awkward position for the Angel to be holding the man...
I put in more details, I see they have a baby... and the hand of the Angel...I am still not sure...
And then I see - no! It's a negative force that possesses the male figure...I am listening to Jordan Maxwell talk about his research into the dark occult and the bible - what the bible really says - about how the god(s) plural created the heaven's and the earth and how it never said anything about God creating man because the true translation of the Hebrew words were not correctly translated - but it says that man was to choose one of the God's to rule him - he needed to pick one...
I decide to color the evil force red, the man blue and the rest lavender...and try to see what is happening in the drawing...it is pretty dark subject matter I am hearing and seeing....It seems the man is trying to do the right thing by his wife and baby, but he is possessed by this other force...he is pretending is not there... and he can't quite move himself to accept his responsibilities as "dad". Jordan is talking about how Joseph Dolazel stole his identity - it's a terribly sad story...I decide to bring the rose petals back in now...using black...
I feel now that this is not just a drawing...because I am making it for this Challenge - it is actually a 3D slowed movie of a scenario that is happening...which is documented step by step in the photographs. It reminds me of the Slit Experiment - how the observer effects what is happening by observing it...
Jordan begins to tell the story of when he was a child and his first girlfriend's father psychically reported to him about incidents which the father new that happened to Jordan as a child -
and directed Jordan to dedicate his life to the search for Truth, to help humanity
I decide to use some markers to delineate the rose petals, starting with black...
and then some red colored pencil... Now that whole scene is pretty much completely obliterated...which describes what Jordan Maxwell was talking about - he spent his whole life searching for the Truth, got screwed over several times, and recently had all his work stolen from him by Joseph Dolazel - at one point Mark Passio asks him what he thinks about standing up for Freedom
and then some red marker...- using Force against Violence - the concept of Pacificism - and Jordan basically says he is satisfied to remain within the system - but in so-doing it appears he got taken...
I add yellow green to the stem...so I would assess from that situation that it violates Natural Law to stand down. We have to stand up to evil...
