Drawing #36, Nov 16, 2011, I Brought It On Myself
This piece is not what it looks like on first glance - if you don't look carefully you might think this is about a couple in love who are surrounded by angels and love and happy to be together - but look at her eyes - it's really about how outward appearances are not the inward reality at all... it is a metaphor for allowing oneself to get screwed over while pretending it's what you want so that you don't have to be alone - no one here has ever done that right?
Drawing #37, Nov 22, 2011, When The Mask Comes Off, I Have To Protect My Heart
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where everyone knew the inner you - and you were not expecting it? You feel so vulnerable that it feels like your skin has been peeled off? Suddenly you start to act like an ass - but you can't stop yourself? You start to play a role - and you know you are doing it and you sense others know it too, but you are in a crowd - and you can't escape - When the mask comes off, I have to protect my heart - it's not a pretty site - my solutions are problems in the making - better for God to be the one who protects me - God encapsulates me in a bubble of infinite light and love and I don't need to grasp for human solutions to protect myself - that's what I strive for, but sometimes it just doesn't happen - sometimes I am blocked and default to battery power - and have to clean up the mess later.
Drawing #40, Nov 29, 2011, The Snail, The Angel, The Moon, and The Eye-Flowers Watching
The Snail, who carries her house on her back, moves slowly, nocternally. Seek through meditation to find your way - it is the way of the Angels - your Intuition. Observant onlookers watch this unusual action... slow, careful, deliberate, ethical, non-descript accomplishes the goal and is protected, upheald, cherished. Arrogance is the American Way but it does not accomplish much good.
