We are using Formal Consensus together. I have given many ways to get ahold of that information - Right now we are reviewing the principles of Formal Consensus in Chapter 3 because CT Butler says, and my experience says that without a modicum of these principles in place- we won't be able to do the work to get to Consensus. Building Trust, Respect - we will have to create a Purpose and insodoing - we will find Unity of Purpose, Nonviolence, Self-Empowerment, Cooperation, Conflict Resolution, Commitment to the Group, Active Participation, Equal Access to Power, Patience...
We will learn things along the way, the hard way, so that it will help us to have an experience of mistrust which will lead to trusting one another deeply. We might disrespect each other and learn how to respect each other. My purpose is to create Living Community which has the Spirit of the Creator flowing through it - but of course that's not a press the button thing and it requires vulnerability, surrender, humility and an ego death among a lot of other things. Unity of Purpose will come when we all unify in our purpose whatever that turns out to be. Nonviolence - we will learn probably through some emotional violence - Self- Empowerment - the meek people will stand up - the strong people will step asside so the quiet people can have a voice. Cooperation will come as a result of a lot of this emotional turmoil. Conflict Resolution will evolve through conflict and a need for it's resolution. Commitment to the group itself is showing itself now. Are you willing to show up and do it? Active participation - people who show up in person are actively participating. Equal access to Power - comes from self-empowerment, using the principles, good facilitation - etc- Patience - through thick and thin you keep showing up. The rewards are limitless - an inner sense of support and also all the gifts of the growth necessary to make this happen for one another -
Later - decisions will have to be made - and then we will put it all into action...
